UKULELE MOVEMENT

Lorenzo Vignando, known to many as Ukulollo on his YouTube channel (krenfilm) paid UM a visit en route to the Cairns Ukulele Festival in June 2011. Here on part vacation/part work, Lorenzo conducted a half-day video workshop and even gave a free performance at UM Loft showcasing songs and videos from his new album Completely Unbroken.

Lorenzo was a hot favourite to win the Bushman World Ukulele Contest 2009 where he came in runner-up with his video entry of Ravel's Bolero. He created quite a sensation in the ukulele world with his videos where he appears as a one-man band with superimposed multiple personalities playing different parts of the music with different instruments.

Ukulollo, defined by Lorenzo as "me, myself, lollorpool, krenfim and other hidden personalities" is a talented filmmaker who likes to play the ukulele and is ready to take the next step by going wholeheartedly into music with songwriting,  recording, performance, and filmmaking. For those of you who missed him this time, you can be sure he will be back in Singapore again as he loves being here.
