UKULELE MOVEMENT presents an evening with James Hill

This December, we have invited James Hill to conduct a Big Band workshop in Singapore for uke-crazy fans out there! Join us and experience what it's like to be part of a musical ensemble…lead by none other than James Hill himself!

Big Band is generally associated with the jazz and the swing era. Typically consisting of various kinds of instruments like rhythm, brass and woodwind all playing together in an ensemble, the focus for an ukulele Big Band will of course be your chosen instrument of choice – the ukulele! We will provide percussion and rhythm as support.

All levels of expertise are welcome, as are all sizes of ukuleles. If you've always wanted to experience the thrill of playing in a swing orchestra but never had the chance, now's your chance!

For those who sign up for the workshop, you will be given some homework to do before the actual day of the workshop. James will share with you techniques and the know-how, for playing with others during the workshop. The earlier you sign up, the more time you will have to practice and when you are all ready to play as a band during the workshop, we will make a video to post to YouTube. Imagine your bragging rights after playing together with James Hill.

It's not often that James Hill is in town so grab this opportunity to learn from the very best. This workshop will be informative, exciting, and most of all–fun! As this workshop is held at UM Loft, we have very limited spaces available, first come–first served. Please book your spaces early to avoid disappointment.
