"Have uke will travel" contest
The kind folks at Kala have sponsored a Solid Spruce Top Soprano Travel Uke (retailing at USD199) for this contest (watch review here). To win this fantastic prize, all you have to do is take a picture of yourself with an ukulele anywhere in the world in the UM pose (see example). The most well composed and creative photo wins the uke! Submit your pics to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it with your name, address, mobile/telephone number, e-mail address, and state location in photo caption. Contest ends 31 July 2009 at 11:59pm. Please read the rules of the contest carefully.
Contest rules:
A) Contest ends 31 July 2009.
B) No purchase is necessary and a purchase will not increase your chances of winning.
C) There are no age restrictions.
D) Contest is open only to residents living in Singapore. Foreigners residing in Singapore can enter.
E) Strictly one entry per person.
F) All entries must be submitted electronically and files must not be larger than 2MB and at least 200dpi. Photographs must be in .jpeg, .jpg format.
G) Digital image enhancements are restricted to subtle toning and color adjustments. All winning images will be checked for technical integrity and authenticity. Montages and composites are NOT permitted.
H) Entries void where prohibited by law (eg. entries will not be accepted if taken within Army camps or government locations where photography is prohibited).
I) The photograph must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the Sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
J) All entries must be submitted and received by 31 July 2009 at 11:59pm. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
K) By entering the contest, entrants grant UKULELE MOVEMENT a royalty-free, world-wide, perpetual, non-exclusive license to display, distribute, reproduce, and create derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or subsequently developed, for any UKULELE MOVEMENT purpose, including, but not limited to advertising and promotion of the web site, exhibition, and commercial products. Photographs may appear on the UKULELE MOVEMENT website and Facebook Fan Page/Group page. Any photograph reproduced will include a photographer credit. UKULELE MOVEMENT will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such uses.
L) Photographs will be judged on originality, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. All decisions by the judges will be final and binding. Judges are from UKULELE MOVEMENT and KALA Brand Ukulele Co.
N) Winners will be required to produce their identity cards upon prize collection. Should there be discrepancies discovered, UKULELE MOVEMENT reserves the right to disqualify a winner and forfeit the prize.
M) There will be only one winner. Name of the winner will be posted on the UKULELE MOVEMENT website on 03 Aug 2009.
