Ko'olau ukuleles are handcrafted by a select group of experienced luthiers in the town of Wahiawa, located in the central highlands of Oahu. Professional quality construction, the highest grade of materials, along with strict quality control ensures that Ko'olau instruments are among the finest in the world.

There are several Ko'olau models available, beginning with the Model 1–the least adorned, and thus the most affordable–to the magnificently arrayed Collector Series, with master grade woods and beautiful shell inlays.

The Model 1 Koa Tenor is made from select Koa in satin finish. Grover mini-rotomatic tuners, bone nut and saddle, Ko'olau Gold strings and low action promotes playability. A custom Ko'olau hardshell case is included.
