Here's a little bit about our new store in the heart of Little India. Dunlop Street is a very lively street, there are loads of trading companies during the day, it's a very busy street. Tourists and backpackers love to hang out at the little cafes along the street and watch the merchants go about their businesses. There's also a mosque diagonally opposite our store so we do get the occasional prayers over the PA system, but it's over in 5 minutes usually.

At night, the pubs and restaurants come alive. Prince of Wales–a drinking hole–is a short walk down the road. Want a taste of Spain? There's a Spanish tapas bar down the road called Zsofi. Feel like Indian tonight? There are simply too many Indian coffee shops to count, you're be Bryanied-out by the time you tasted all of them. There is a Thai restaurant on Upp Dickson where you can find authentic dishes. There's also a well known ZhiChar (Cantonese-style stir-fry) store on the corner of Upp Dickson and Jln Besar, right next to a Hainanese Chicken Rice store that serves the rice in balls, and the guys from Hotel Majestic and Hotel 1921 are building one of those chic modern boutique hotels on Upp Dickson called Wanderlust.

If you want to experience the hustle and bustle of Little India, take a walk around the maze of streets at nightfall, you'll get to experience Little India in its most original form. The energy is raw, sometimes chaotic, but fascinating, that's why we love Little India. 

One more thing, above our shop is a little recording studio so if anyone is interested in cutting an ukulele album, just go upstairs and check them out. They're called Wall Work Studio.

Directions

By MRT – Info to come. Little India or Bugis. These two stations are the nearest to us. It takes about 8-10mins to walk from either one. 

By bus – Please check SBS website.

Parking – Street-side parking is available on Dunlop Street, Upper Dickson Road, Perak Road, Mayo Street and it'll cost you 50 cents/30 mins. It's free after 5pm. Sundays are free parking all day. We are outside the ERP boundaries. For sheltered parking, there's Sim Lim Tower, it's directly opposite Dunlop Street and The Verge where it's $1 per entry after 5pm Mon-Sat and $1.50 all day on Sunday. Regular parking charges apply during normal business hours.
